Thursday, February 18 2027, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
A talk in French (held in person at the SGNO centre and via Zoom) will be hosted by Jean-Yves Vanier-Verbeek, SGNO president, on Thursday, February 18, 2027 at 1 p.m. (Edmonton time). The title of the talk — Comment préserver et transmettre mes recherches généalogiques ?
This presentation (in French) explores the various ways to organize, preserve, share, and pass on the results of your genealogical research. We will examine traditional methods and digital tools for organizing family information, managing research documents, and safely storing records. We will also explore different ways to publish and share your discoveries, including genealogical charts (such as peacock fan charts and other formats), articles, books, blogs, and websites. Finally, we will discuss opportunities to donate your research to archives and genealogical societies, share family trees using GEDCOM files, and prepare a genealogical will to ensure that years of research are preserved and remain accessible to future generations.
This talk is open to everyone—members and non-members alike. If you prefer to participate virtually, you can register using the following link : https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/HhbBlFSQRiKuXPnoRfUA-Q
