The next session of the French SIG in Zoom format is schedule for Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 1 p.m. During this meeting Jean-Yves Vanier-Verbeek, SGNO president, will give a presentation (in English) on the censuses of New France, Acadia, and Canada — some one of the most valuable tools in French-Canadian genealogy. He will explain how to find censuse online, what information they contain, how they help trace families over time, and how to assess their reliability.

The next meeting of the Genealogists’ Exchange, in French and in a hybrid format (in person at the SGNO centre and via Zoom), will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 1 p.m. During this meeting, Jean-Yves Vanier-Verbeek, president of the SGNO, will give a presentation on the censuses of New France, Acadia, and Canada— some of the most valuable tools in French-Canadian genealogy.
